![]() Similarly, if you hang out with girls you aren't dating, your current girlfriend will get mad at you if she isn't at max rank, so don't do that too often. If you're playing as the male MC, you can't choose if you want to romance a female social link, it just happens. If you're tired or sick and you go to the school infirmary it'll give you a pretty intense courage boost, so do that if you need stats. You're not gonna max every social link on your first playthrough, so don't go for it super hard. However, in Portable, tiredness only applies after you leave Tartarus for the night, so you can pretty easily do the whole section in one night. In Persona 3 and FES, your characters will get tired in Tartarus, which will reduce their hit rate and make them get crit super easily. #PERSONA 3 PORTABLE FUSION GUIDE PORTABLE#Portable is great because the tiredness mechanic is glitched. That way you'll at least get pretty environments and cutscenes to look at as you go down the route. And maybe play MC route if you get a way to play FES. Which I recommend doing because his SL is amazing in my opinion.Īnyways, have fun. So you effectively have to hang out with him whenever you can. My tips for this route are that you shouldn't give Shinji a pocket watch if the game tells you to do so, and that when you meet Ryoji, his social link is context sensitive and will break if you miss even one day of hanging out with him. No forced romances, and you get social links with ALL your party members, including the dog. You'll be missing a little bit of context, but the game fixes the social links. Which is why I wholeheartedly recommend FeMC over MC route. It's weird having an entire third of the game clash with the story's themes and narrative. ![]() I legit didn't enjoy MC route that much because of this. And you get no social links with male party members, but you get social links with characters that are male that aren't part of your team. And then the game doesn't really acknowledge it. You get forced to romance female characters if you rank up their social links. MC route's social links are kinda hit or miss. Early game (and late game obviously), your best friend will be Tarunda which decreases enemy physical and magic attack by 30%-ish, and Rakunda which decreases enemy defense by 30%-ish. ![]() For buffs, you eventually get multitarget skills that apply buffs to the whole party, so those are definitely worth keeping an eye on as well. ![]() Something you should know about the combat though, is that you should definitely use buffs and and early game you should specifically pay a lot of attention to debuff skills because your whole team will benefit. I do recommend looking up a social link guide though as it will allow you to look ahead and better plan things out. And the game will tell you what you need to raise and how high you need to raise it if a stat isn't high enough for something. You just do activities that raise your social stats so you can then unlock more social links. The game itself will walk you through it. So honestly, time management is pretty self explanatory. ![]()
